Sou'wester Outfitting offers fully guided single or combination hunts for moose, Woodland Caribou and black bear during the months of September and October. The rifle-hunting season begins the second Saturday of September with a bow-only season opening two weeks prior to this date.

All hunts are fly-in only and are for a week in duration. Sou'wester Outfitting's hunting packages include: floatplane or helicopter access to the lodges, home cooked meals, personal guides on a one-to-one ratio and all in-field handling of game. Sou’wester Outfitting arranges to have all meat cut and wrapped by a local meat cutter and packaged for shipment. The service of a local taxidermist is also available to prepare the trophies and ship them to their destination.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the package price will confirm bookings with balance to be paid on arrival for one’s hunt. License fees for moose and caribou along with all applicable taxes are included in the rates noted. Deposits may be paid by personal cheque but not for final settlement of account. Deposits may be transferred to another party prior to September. To hunt in Newfoundland, a nonresident big game hunter must show proof that he has successfully completed a recognized hunter safety course or have held a previous big game hunting license.
